My 6 Favorite Designers

Not all of these designers and items are things I have in my closet but that doesn't make them any less stunning. Just as Coco Chanel said, Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening. Here are my 6 favorite designers and my favorite items from them.

Alexander Wang is pretty much the exact replica of my style. I love the way he somehow finds a way to mix 'anywhere' clothing with high fashion. The sleek and classic designs are beautifully made and they let the personality of the person shine while adding to their beauty. In other words, the people are wearing the clothes, not the other way around.

This is my favorite piece by Alexander Wang. It's called the 'Model Spandex Strappy Cami Tank'. I love how it comes in black and they also made a body-con dress with the same top style.

Versace-

The next designer on the list is Versace. Versace is a very high fashion brand and there's a reason for that. To me, Versace is the very picture of elegance. It's in the small things that make it that way.

Take this dress for example. It's called the 'Medusa Button Top Stitch Dress'. The double straps add to extra support and extra beauty. I particularly love the slight scoop of the neckline. The buttons' asymmetrical line add a hint of extra to make this piece simple yet beautiful.

Leanne Marshall-

Yes, okay. Before you attack me, I do know this is a wedding dress. That doesn't block the beauty though right? How Leanne Marshall managed to incorporate those stunning colors like that I don't know. What I do know is that I would wear this down the runway, wedding dress or not. The top is elegant and simple yet so wonderful.

I love the slit because, to me, it adds a small peek-a-boo touch to it. The skirt is flowing and not form fitting but it's not a ballroom skirt either. Also, the sleek ribbon offsets the eggshell white. This is definitely one of my favorites.

Calvin Klein-

Calvin Klein obviously knows how to incorporate style and leather. I had a friend tell me about this piece that they saw at New York fashion week and they insisted that it be included in my blog. She loved the classic, plain, yet stylish look and i'm pretty sure she bought it.

The low pleat adds a sense of volume but the tightness at the hips shows off ones curves. But still, its not to loose around the stomach, it gives just a little breathing room. This one can be worn anywhere. I could wear it to a dinner party or to a girlfriend get-together. Its versatile.

Alexander Mcqueen-

I found this dress when I was randomly surfing. I had been searching for designs and this piece just found its way to me. It is part of his Autumn/winter 2018 look-book. The inspiration of metamorphosis just seemed so beautiful to me.

The dress reminded me of a newborn phoenix that spread into its full glory. I think that the way Alexander Mcqueen set up the runway it was the older darker outfits first and then the newer bolder looks last. There were multiple looks that I loved from that runway but this one made its way to the top of my list.

Tommy Hilfiger -

With some designers, the logo isn't good and slapping it on a purse doesn't look good at all. With Tommy Hilfiger, I want him to slap the logo on my face, my dishes, literally my everything. One of my top favorite trends has been the crop. Cropping a sweater is ingenious.

This cropped sweater has a little scrunch on the edge so it gets a little less drag when you reach upwards. In other words, your bra won't show. I wear things like this to dance practice, to school, and defiantly anywhere I can get away with it.

Last Tip:

Have a pair of black or tan pumps. They'll go with anything so they're highly versatile.
